
LEADERSHIP
Brian Sutton
Brian serves as Presiding Bishop of the Church of God of Prophecy in Alabama. He is married to Renee and they have two children (Will and Tayler) and one son-in-law (Chris). After serving in pastoral ministry for 25 years, he most recently ministered as Executive Director of Leadership Development and Discipleship for the global church, Publisher of the White Wing Messenger, and was a member of the Administrative Committee and Corporate Board of Directors for the International Church of God of Prophecy. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Pentecostal Charismatic Churches of North America (PCCNA) Discipleship Commission.

Brian has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Management from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, a Master of Arts degree in Church Ministries from Pentecostal Theological Seminary in Cleveland, Tennessee, and a Master of Arts Degree in Religion from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston, Massachusetts. He has completed his coursework and is currently writing his thesis in pursuit of a Doctor of Ministry degree in Global Pentecostalism at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He was selected by the Pentecostal Theological Seminary as their 2018 alumnus of the year.

Bishop Sutton is the author of Discovering Holiness: A Quest for God published by White Wing Books in 2014, Prevailing Prayer: Developing a Lifestyle of Conversation with God, published by White Wing Books in 2014, The Minister’s Pocket Manual: Church of God of Prophecy Edition, published by White Wing Books in 2016, Conversation With God: The Power of Prevailing Prayer, published by Broadstreet Press in 2017, and Practice These Things: Mentored Ministry Manual published by White Wing Books in 2018.

He and his wife Renee have been married since 1990. Brian and Renee are blessed with two children and a son-in-law. Their son, Will, is a Senior at the University of Alabama, studying to become a school guidance counselor. Their daughter, Tayler, (a graduate of Lee University) teaches English Language Arts and Writing at Blackman Middle School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Their son-in-law, Chris Moses (a graduate of Bryan College who joined the family in 2016) works as a Senior IT Engineer for Advanced Network Solutions in Nashville, Tennessee. Tayler and Chris reside in Murfreesboro.
